2025 Los Angeles Deployment
In January 2025, the greater Los Angeles Area was devastated by a series of wildfires resulting in over 200,000 evacuations, the destruction of more than 18,000 structures, and burning of roughly 57,000 acres.
Days after the fires started in the LA area in January 2025,
54 CERC Members deployed to support early recovery efforts. Members supported donation management at 26 YMCAs in the Greater Los Angeles Area and served as resource navigators at the UCLA, Altadena, and Pasadena Disaster Recovery Centers.
CERC was on deployment from January 12 to April 25, 2025. The longest deployment in CERC's history.
